Bounced pages are pages which visitors entered your site through and then never clicked through to any other portion of your site (they bounced off of your site). Bounced pages signify that your marketing department needs to make changes to that page to get your visitors to want to continue on to the rest of your site. An event trigger allows an MVI Live Stats user to be notified when a visitor has performed a certain action on their site. There are currently 3 types of event triggers available and those are as follows:
Page View - This type of event trigger requires you to place a special piece a code on a specific page of your site. Whenever someone goes to that page, the event is triggered.
Criteria Match - Allows you to have an event triggered whenever a visit matches a certain criteria. For instance, you could have an event triggered every time someone from the state of Florida visited your site.
Total Page Views - With this event trigger, you set the amount of total page views that you want a visitor to reach and upon reaching that total, the event is triggered. So if you wanted to be notified every time someone views at least 5 pages on your site, you would set up one of these event triggers and set it to 5.
Total Time On Site - If you want to know whenever a visitor has been on your site for more than a certain amount of time, you would set up one of these event triggers. For example, if you wanted to be notified every time someone stays on your site for more than 5 minutes, you would set up one of these event triggers and set it to 5 minutes.

mviSLM (Sales Lead Management Software)
mviSLM is available as an add-on to the MVI Live Stats system. It is a proprietary system created by MVI that automates the collection and assigning of leads and tracks your sales efforts and reports results. MVI Live Stats works with the mviSLM system by placing prospect information directly into the mviSLM system when an event is triggered. This can be set up in only a few hours. Proactive Live Chat
Proactive live chat is complete live help/live chat solution integrated directly into MVI Live Stats. If you already have your MVI Live Stats tracking code implemented on your site, proactive live chat will automatically work. The reason it's called "proactive" is because you have the ability to have the system "proactively" ask your visitors if they need any assistance. If you have proactive notification turned on and set to 5 minutes, MVI Live Stats will track how long your visitors are on your site and when they've been on for 5 minutes, it will pop up a notification asking them if they need any assistance. Every time someone accesses a page on your site which has the MVI Live Stats code snippet, information about that page view is instantly sent to the MVI Live Stats system. When a visitor first begins a visit, there can be a delay of up to 60 seconds before they show up in MVI Live Stats. This is caused by MVI Live Stats having to go out and look up the visitor's ARIN information based on their IP address. Any sub-sequent page views after a visit has started will appear instantly (Real Time) in MVI Live Stats.
The referring URL for a visit tells you which site a visitor was last on before coming to your site. This knowledge allows experienced internet marketing professionals to determine where visitors are coming from and what they do after they arrive.
Tracking Code or Scripts
A trail is a list of all page views that occurred during a visit. For example, if a visitor on your site went to /index.htm then /contact.htm and finally /thankyou.htm, that person's trail would be as follows:

The MVI Live Stats system uses a variety of advanced methods (sessions, cookies, browser hash, etc.) to try and detect whether or not someone visiting your site has been there before or not. Unique visits are calculated by removing any return visits from the same visitor for a specific period of time. So for example, if you wanted to know what your unique visits were for the span of a week and one of your visitors had visited the site 4 times during that same week, 3 out of the 4 visits would be eliminated leaving one unique visit. This measurement is used to give you an idea of how many different people have visited your site during a span of time.
URLs & Page Views
URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) are the full internet path to a specific page on your site. Whenever you are browsing the internet and look up at the address bar in your browser, what you see there is the URL of the current page you are looking it. If you take that URL and write it down on a piece of paper and give it to your friend and they go into their web browser on their computer and type it into their address bar, it will take them to (for the most part) the same page you were looking at. A Page View is any time someone visits a page (URL) on your site. So if a visitor would go to your home page and then go to your contact page and then re-load the contact page, that would count as 3 page views.
